Tonight was the first episode of season 6 of the hit show Sons of Anarchy on FX.  If you’re one of the few people that haven’t seen Sons of Anarchy, then I’ll tell you that it’s centered around Jax Teller and the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original (SAMCRO).  The show is set in a fictional city of Charming, CA which is supposed to be just outside of Lodi, CA.

It’s amazing how well Sons of Anarchy has been received by the general population.  I think this is due to the brilliant writing of the show’s creators.  They continue to lead the viewer down unexpected paths, twists and turns, and phenomenal story lines.  The first 5 seasons have been a ride for sure!  If you haven’t watched it, I recommend you check it out.  You can get all 5 seasons from Amazon Prime Instant Video.

Sons of Anarchy occasionally has ties to the San Francisco Bay Area as they will portray scenes in Oakland as SAMCRO often has dealing with various gangs based out of Oakland.

While the show is a great show to watch, it does glorify the life of a 1% motorcycle club.  As someone who has met people in 1% MC clubs, I can tell you that it’s not exactly a life as it’s portrayed in SOA.  One thing the show has done is allow a lot of the weekend worriers to live vicariously through the show.
