How To Discover New Music | Groov.io

I love to discover new music. I especially like to find great music that isn’t widely known. Even with all of the music services like iTunes, Spotify, Soundcloud, Amazon Music, and YouTube Red, it’s still difficult to really find great music.

For example, back in 2007 someone posted a link to Zac Brown Band on my Sly Bald Guys forum. At the time, no one that I knew of in California had heard of Zac Brown Band. I wrote every country radio station in my area to get them to play him, yet they never did. I was thinking,”why hasn’t anyone heard of this awesome band?”

Fast forward to 2018 and this is still a problem. This is why I created a new music sharing site called Groov.io.

Groov.io allows musicians and fans to post their favorite songs from YouTube to share them with the community. The community can then vote on the song. The more upvotes a song gets, the higher it is listed within it’s genre. The goal behind this is that all the most liked music (best music) will rise to the top.

If you’re a musician, record label, or just a fan of awesome music, make sure to post your favorite music up on Groov.io. The more people post and vote, the better the music will be in the world.
