If there’s one thing I’ve learned from business it’s that the more focused you are the more likely you’ll succeed. Though, there’s a caveat, you have to be focused on the right thing.
There are a variety of ways to determine what you need to be focused on in order to succeed, but that’s not the point of this blog post. The point of this post is to inform you that you need to stop running in five different directions and start focusing on the things that matter.
When it comes to business you will want to focus your business like a laser. You need to know exactly what you need to accomplish now, in a few minutes, in a few hours, tomorrow, the next day and on and on and on with and end result in mind.
If you’ve ever taken an art class they teach you the easiest way to draw a straight line without a ruler is to place your pencil on the starting point of the line and then pick the end point that you want the line to go to and focus on that end point. Once you are focused on that end point then you start to move the pencil to that end point. Invariably, the more focused you are the more straight your line will be.
This is the same in business. Pick and end point and become laser focused on your daily goals and tasks to get to that end point.
