It looks like the rodeo season is coming to an end for 2013, but we still have a couple large rodeo and bull riding events to grace the San Francisco Bay Area.
Gear up for the PBR Ariat Invitational coming to the Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA on September 6th and 7th of 2013. PBR events are always action packed events and great fun to attend. Bull riding is considered one of the most entertaining rodeo events and with two action filled days of bull riding, you can’t go wrong.
Many people don’t realize that California is home to so many cowboys and as many rodeos to fill up your weekends. If you head out of the Silicon Valley and Bay Area in any direction you are sure to enter cowboy country. This is what makes watching rodeos in California so fun, as you will get people attending from areas of California you probably haven’t heard of.
The last big rodeo of the year to hit the Bay Area is the Grand National Rodeo at the Cow Palace in Daly City, CA, which is just south of San Francisco. The Grand National Rodeo is spread out over two weekends in October, the 18th and 19th and the 25th and 26th. This is always a fun event as it holds true to typical rodeo with a variety of events that you can watch. This year you can watch bull riding, barrel racing, cattle roping and more. Don’t forget to check out all of the animals at the stock show while you are there.
How could I forget about the rodeo clowns! You’ll definitely want to check out the fun that the rodeo clowns have and how they protect the bull riders.
