One of my friends posted this picture on Facebook and I got a good chuckle out of it.  As men we tend to be a fairly stubborn sex, though I’m not sure if we’re more or less stubborn than females – feel free to leave your opinion in the comments section below.

I’m also not sure if thousands of men really will die of stubborness this year, but if they do, it’s probably related to accidents from being stubborn or overall stress.  While being adamant about something or having strong feelings about something is often mistaken for being stubborn, there are times in life that we need to check ourselves and make sure that we’re not letting being stubborn get in our way of accomplishing our true intention.  Though, with that said, being stubborn just might save your life one day.

For example, when negotiating in business it’s often best to not come across to the other party as being stubborn.  When someone thinks you’re stubborn that will bring more emotion into the equation than is needed.  This is why it’s good to always have some concessions ready to give to the other side so that you give the impression that you’re giving up something of value to you and that you’re not stubborn.

Another place that you don’t want to be too stubborn is dealing with your family members.  By being stubborn and not taking into consideration their “side of the story” you can often drive a wedge between yourself and your family member.
