You need to give more
One of the biggest problems that we have in the United States, and most likely the world, is that we have forgotten how to give. Instead, we’re too worried about getting our own. Everyone wants to be rich, but one thing people don’t realize is that you can’t truly get until you truly give.
The best part about giving is how good you feel after you have given; that is if you have truly given from your heart.
When you give to people and organizations, it shows people that they can trust you and it also puts you in favor with the people that you have given to or the people that run the organizations you have given to. While you shouldn’t give just so that you can get, it’s very typical to reap way more than you have given. It’s amazing how this happens, but it does.
You’re probably seeing dollar signs when I say to give, but giving doesn’t always have to be cash. There are many resources that you have at your disposal that can help people and organizations out. Time is one of the easiest resources to give. Imagine if you and 9 others gave just 5 hours a week to help an organization. Maybe all you do is come in and file documents or make fund raising calls. It’s a good chance that organization would have to pay $10/hr to get someone to do those jobs. You alone are giving $50 per week to that organization just by donating less than an hour a day. Make that 10 of you and all of you are donating $500 per week!! Keep that consistent for a year (52 weeks) and the 10 of you have given a total of $26,000.
Let’s a take another resource that you have to give; connections. We’re all connected to a large group of people through work, friends, social organizations, kids, and the list goes on. There are tons of opportunities to help a person or organization just by connecting them to the people we know. By getting involved with an organization and learning what they need to run their organization, there’s a good chance that you’ll have a connection that can help them with their needs.
Take a moment and imagine how much good could be affected if we all gave just a little more. A little more cash, a little more time, and a little more of our resources.

Jen, I think you are right on. The company I am with has an astounding training program that covers both business and creative classes. I’ve found some amazing women in the company that I’ve been able to learn from. It doesn’t hurt to remember that you must be a self-starter in direct sales. Very few products “sell theelmsves”.
